Easy & Simple Scarf Hair Wrap Tutorial

I love a simple scarf hair wrap look. Having curly hair can be a blessing and a curse sometimes, especially when you live in Texas. Texas humidity is no joke and can really have your hair looking like a big nest. I usually do this simple scarf hair wrap look the day after wash day. This is a great daytime look for when you’re running errands around town. picking up the kids from school, or having a beach day. Oh, how I wish I were at the beach right now.

Types of Scarves:

  • Cotton scarves
  • Chiffon scarves
  • Net scarves
  • Silk Scarves
  • Cashmere scarves / Pashmina scarves
  • Satin scarves
  • Wool scarf
  • Bandana scarf

Best Scarves for this style: Cotton, Silk, and Satin.

I used a cotton scarf in this tutorial, but always choose the one that is best suited for you.

Silk and Satin is typically used for wrapping your hair to cold a style or for overnight protection. This particular style we are doing is just a daytime look. The cotton scarf does tend to absorb the moisture from your hair. If that is a concern, consider using a silk or satin scarf.
